Answering Common Questions

  • What is an Urgent Care?

Urgent Care is medical care delivered in a clinic setting when an urgent medical concern occurs and you are unable to be seen by your regular provider in a timely manner.  This may be due to the occurrence of an illness or injury after regular business hours, or your regular provider being too busy to work in appointment on an urgent basis.

  • How do I know when to go to an Urgent Care vs. Emergency Room/Hospital?

If you feel that you may have a possible life-threatening illness or injury it would be advisable to proceed directly to your closest emergency room/hospital.  If In doubt, an evaluation can be performed at the Urgent Care clinic to decide about the need for emergency room services.

  • Do I need an appointment?

An appointment is not needed to be seen at our Urgent Care clinic.  Patients will be seen on a first come/first serve basis.  There may be times that triaging of more urgent concerns may cause a patient coming in later to be seen first.
